That’s It! I’m Done!

Whew.

I spent the last two weeks doing reading, researching, plotting out my presentation, talking about it then rewriting parts and adjusting entire sections. I was supposed to be working on it with someone else, but that person already had too much on his plate to contribute much to it. That’s not to say he didn’t help out, he did.

He helped me focus and make adjustments that pulled the presentation together and he helped me present it.

Was it awesome?

I wasn’t entirely happy with it. The target audience wasn’t really there so I ended up preaching to the choir. I also ran a little long so I rushed the ending which was where the positive parts came in to play. I’m afraid it came off seeming a little negative when the intention was just to be cautious, plan, allocate time and not to waste time on something that isn’t completed.

Several questions were asked, which I feel I answered well and I did hear an “amen”.

Comments afterwards were positive, but I think most of them were just thankful they didn’t go up and give the presentation.

The best part about a presentation is … after it’s done. I’m celebrating with a good old Canadian 25-piece patio set (chair, 24 of beer).

Fortunately, this means I’ll have more free time to invest in things I enjoy… GAME ON!
