I had this thought the other day when mowing the lawn. The motions I go through with the lawnmower are much like the motions I go through… er.. TheWife goes through when vacuuming.
Mowing lawns is decidedly ‘man work’ as several people tell me. What makes it so?
The use/actions might seem like a vacuum, but lawnmowers (real ones) have horsepower, consumes gas, uses oil and has blades – that makes it manly. Almost more manly than a car because of the whole blades thing.
Of course, if you have a riding lawnmower, then that is clearly more manly than a car unless the car has blades on it. Or guns…
